AFFORDABLE PRICES
With the effects of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) continuing to reverberate globally and a possible secondary economic crisis looming, Australians are feeling the stranglehold on their pockets. We understand the sheer financial burden of having to see a lawyer, especially in times of financial restriction.
The Navado view is that quality legal representation should not be a luxury, but an affordable right. That is why we offer three types of costing:-
1. Fixed fee – We offer fixed fees for Conveyancing ($800 plus GST plus disbursements), the preparation of Wills ($250 plus GST for a standard Will) and for some areas of Commercial, Superannuation and Taxation Law. The advantage of fixed fees is that you know exactly what you will be paying at the end of the day. You should contact our office and speak to one of our Solicitors to discuss fixed fees and how it can apply to you.
2. Hourly rate – Our hourly rate is $290 (plus GST) for Solicitors (principal, senior and junior) and $220 (plus GST) for Paralegals. We charge on an hourly basis in matters where it is difficult to predict the amount of time the work will take – including some Commercial, Superannuation and Taxation Law matters. We recognize that the most prevalent problem with hourly rates is a lack of transparency. That is why we ensure that you are provided with an estimate of legal costs prior to us commencing the work. We also give you the opportunity to question and negotiate our costs. It is important to us that you understand how we charge. We also ensure that each task is carried out by the least expensive person in our team with the requisite amount of experience to carry out the task.
3. Staged billing – Staged billing is a milestone based billing that sets a certain fee payable for each stage of the process. Similar to fixed fees, staged billing is a transparent costing system where you will know exactly what you are paying and how much you will be paying, at each stage of your matter. We do our best to dissect the matter into stages. In our discretion, we offer staged billing in some complicated and protracted matters.
By focusing on volume and quality, we can afford to offer expert legal services at a competitive rate. If you think that you are getting a better deal elsewhere, we want to know about.
OUR VALUES
At Navado, we have a simple corporate maxim:
Competitive. Consistent. Convenient.
We pride ourselves on our price competitive nature. We strive to provide the highest quality legal services whilst ensuring that our services remain affordable to the average Australian family. The way we see it, every Australian should have access to superlative legal representation.
We understand the sheer financial burden of obtaining legal advice. That is why we offer three types of costing: fixed fees, hourly rates and staged billing. By having three different types of billing schemes, you can rest assured knowing that you will not be hit with an unexpected invoice at the conclusion of your matter.
We are confident in our services and we welcome healthy, productive competition aimed at delivering the best outcome for you, as a potential client.
It is important to us that we provide consistent and superior legal advice. We will not, for any reason, prejudice the quality or competence of our advice. To ensure this, we maintain and regularly review our company policies, standards and procedures. Frequent board and compliance meetings ensure that staff handle matters consistently and in accordance with the company standards.
We carefully elect and employ staff, ensuring that each member of the Navado team is properly qualified, intelligent, driven and is humble.
